I still can’t imagine the game play being very interesting, but how great is this opening cinematic for the new Beatles game for Rockband? I’d buy the game just to watch this in HD over and over again.

Someone out there has a painting depicting a screen shot from Duck Hunt. Ladies?

Arhrrrr: An Augmented Reality Zombie Videogame
Arhrrrr is an augmented reality videogame. From its Youtube description:
ARhrrrr is an augmented reality shooter for mobile camera-phones, created at Georgia Tech Augmented Environments Lab and the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD-Atlanta). The phone provides a window into a 3d town overrun with zombies. Point the camera at our special game map to mix virtual and real world content. Civilians are trapped in the town, and must escape before the zombies eat them! From your vantage point in a helicopter overhead, you must shoot the zombies to clear the path for the civilians to get out. Watch out though as the zombies will fight back, throwing bloody organs to bring down your copter. Move the phone quickly to dodge them. You can also use Skittles as tangible inputs to the game, placing one on the board and shooting it to trigger an explosion.
If you’re not exactly sure what augmented reality is, here’s a little info.
From Wikipedia:
Augmented reality (AR) is a field of computer research which deals with the combination of real-world and computer-generated data (virtual reality), where computer graphics objects are blended into real footage in real time.
This game looks amazing. Augmented reality has been popping up here and there recently, like in car advertisements and baseball cards, but nowhere that I’ve seen that really merits more than a “huh, look at that.” Hopefully this type of game is something we’ll actually see available really soon.
Sheeeeeeeit… Punch Out for the Wii!
I never had Punch Out as a kid, but my neighbor had it and I remember spending many a summer day sitting cross-legged on the living room floor in front of the console TV, hamming on those buttons.
This documentary style trailer is pretty sweet, but extra points for the Clay Davis appearance as trainer Doc Louis.
